In 2010 I was what I thought was healthy, perhaps a few kilo’s heavier than I’d like, but I was 32. I was, shall I say, ok with my body and lifestyle.
This blog is my way of recording my journey. I wish I’d written as it happened, but isn’t hindsight a wonderful thing. So it’s going to be the most accurate way I can remember and I’m sure there are bits that I’ll forget.
I’ve chosen to share as the people new to my life don’t know who or what I used to be. They don’t realise what I’ve done to get to where I am now. Sure they appreciate I’m a bit of a weirdo when it comes to fitness and food, but they don’t know why or how important this journey has been to me.
I’m also writing this as a way to reflect, remember and to make sure I never ever go back to my old self. Without sounding cliche, this journey changed my life. I believe that it gave me back a part of me that I didn’t realise I’d lost.
As I share this with you, I’ll cry, laugh and be honest with the emotions. So, sit back and relax while you can. Hopefully my story might encourage and motivate you to get off your butt and do something for yourself.
